North Fork, Long Island. 44% Merlot, 31% Cabernet Franc, 7% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Petit Verdot.
Bergen Road is Macari's flagship blend intended to reflect the nuance and elegance of their top-performing vineyard blocks in exceptional vintages.
Medium garnet color. Aromas of bright plum, pomegranate, cranberry, black tea, and a touch of cedar become more expressive with air. Medium bodied on the palate, with layers of blackberry bramble, bright and fresh acidity, moderate fine-grained tannin and a long savory finish. The wine will continue to improve over the next five years, drink now through 2030.
